SOCIAL DEDUCTION · 3-8 PLAYERS
One of you is the Liar.
The phone assigns a secret role to each player. A scenario appears. Thirty seconds to interrogate. The family decides who's lying. The phone reveals the truth.

Someone drank the last of the good coffee...
DOMESTIC
Someone has been wearing your slippers...
SOCIAL

Number of players
The phone secretly picks the Liar. Nobody else knows.
HOW IT WORKS
The phone holds the secret. The family finds it.
01
Pick your players
3-8 players. The phone secretly assigns one as the Liar. The rest are Innocents who don't know who.
02
Check your role in private
Each player takes the phone privately, sees their role, hides it, passes. Watch your face. Watch your hands.
03
Read the scenario, start the timer
A low-stakes “crime” appears (somebody drank the last of the good coffee). Thirty seconds to interrogate. The Liar defends without admitting.
04
Reveal the truth
Family decides who they think is lying. The phone reveals the truth. Repeat. The Liar moves around the table each round.
Best played with the family members you know well enough to read their face — and the in-laws you don't.
WHY THIS GAME
Most family deduction games (Mafia, Werewolf, Among Us) need elaborate setups, secret meetings, or screens between players. Alibi runs on one phone and the truth of who can actually keep a straight face at the dinner table.
The scenarios are deliberately low-stakes — “someone microwaved fish in the shared kitchen at 9 AM” — because the comedy is in the *defense*, not the crime. Watching a parent calmly explain why they did absolutely nothing wrong, while their kids slowly piece it together, is the entire point.
The phone keeps everyone honest. You can't cheat the role assignment. You can't see who's lying until the end. Thirty seconds is just enough rope.
